01

Know what is actually rented

The visible gateway is only one dependency. Export formats, merchant IDs, provider tokens, routing rules, payout files, fee logic, dispute records and operational roles may all be tied to the incumbent platform. Capture these before selecting a replacement scope.

02

Design the target state

  • Provider contracts controlled by your organisation
  • A transaction model independent of one connector
  • Merchant and tariff configuration owned in the new platform
  • Reconciliation that can compare old and new records
  • A rollback path for each migration cohort
03

Move in cohorts

Start with a bounded group of merchants or payment methods, prove processing and reconciliation, and then expand. Running both environments for a controlled period is usually less risky than forcing every merchant through one irreversible cutover.

04

Where PulsePay fits

Dedicated Platform provides the target payment operating layer in your environment. If the current core must remain, Managed Orchestration can first remove provider and routing constraints without requiring the entire migration at once.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can historical data be migrated?
The available migration depth depends on the incumbent platform’s export and access model. Required records and retention rules should be defined during discovery rather than assumed.
Does every merchant need to move at once?
No. A cohort-based migration usually provides better operational control and makes reconciliation and rollback clearer.
